Building the capacity of your organisation to prevent, identify and respond to the harm and abuse of children and young people is an essential exercise in continuous improvement. Through training and consultation Safeguarding WA can support your organisation’s safeguarding journey, which may be well underway, or perhaps you are just getting started.

Safeguarding Consultancy
Our consultancy service assesses an organisation’s integration of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and provides advice, guidance and support to build and strengthen knowledge, systems, culture and compliance.
As legislation for reporting abuse is broadened in WA, organisations can engage Safeguarding WA to ensure their policies and practices are compliant.
Safeguarding Training
Training in safeguarding is essential for Boards, senior leaders, frontline workers, school staff, clubs, group leaders and volunteers.
Our training extends understandings of harm, abuse and exploitation and provides an overview of the required elements of an ‘across organisation’ safeguarding plan to prevent, identify and respond to safety concerns.
Training packages range from 2 hours to 2 days with content and delivery method designed to meet specific organisational requirements.
Confidential Advice
Safeguarding WA provides bespoke guidance and advice to inform an organisation’s response to a current or historical disclosure or report of harm or abuse, to ensure both legislative compliance and alignment to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
